Statistics show that roughly 2 million people in the United States are treated for plantar fasciitis every year. For some of us, this annoying and often debilitating sharp, stabbing pain along the bottom of the foot comes and goes. For others, plantar fasciitis can linger and keep us from enjoying even a simple walk in the park with our family.

Your doctor at Brain-Body Connection Chiropractic can help with plantar fasciitis. This includes chiropractic and physiotherapy care AND the ability to scan your feet to see where your arches have fallen and provide custom-made orthotics from footlevelers.com.

Did you know your feet have three arches?

Our feet are the foundation of the body. And believe it or not, there are supposed to be three arches. Most people know of the one on the medial (inside) of the foot. But there’s also one on the lateral (outside) of the foot and one behind the metatarsals. If you’re doing a lot of running, walking, or jumping and your shoes don’t support all three arches, then that can lead to plantar fasciitis. This is because the foot is not moving properly and is being overexerted. Symptoms of plantar fasciitis include:

  • Sharp, stabbing pain
  • Heel tenderness
  • Pain after rest or when flexing
  • Tingling and burning sensation

In a couple of minute’s time, our in-house scanner will scan your feet and provide a detailed report on where your arches have fallen. This allows us to get you custom-made shoe insoles that support all three arches and provide the right amount of shock absorption. Most patients who take advantage of our scanner receive their custom insoles within a week.

Insoles are $275 for a pair. If you buy the second set at the same time, it is half off.
